- Technology centers: Oklahoma's CareerTech centers run adult programs statewide, many with evening or hybrid schedules.

- Private schools: set their own prices and schedules.
Complete Your Training
Federal law sets the minimum at 75 hours. Oklahoma adds these rules:

Who certifies CNAs in Oklahoma?
The Oklahoma State Department of Health approves training programs and keeps the Nurse Aide Registry. In Oklahoma, a CNA who works in a nursing home is certified as a Long Term Care Aide.
How long is CNA training in Oklahoma?
At least 75 hours under federal law, including 16 hours before you work with residents and 10 hours of Alzheimer's care training. Many programs run longer, so ask each one for its total hours.
Who gives the CNA exam in Oklahoma?
Several state-approved testing companies, including Headmaster, Prometric, EXAMCEP, Oklahoma Healthcare Testing, and the Health & Professional Certification Project. Your training program will tell you which one it uses.
How many times can I take the CNA test?
Three times for each part, and you must pass within two years of finishing training. After three failures on either part, you need to complete a new training program.
How do I renew, and does it cost anything?
Every two years, send the renewal application with proof of at least 8 paid hours of nursing-related work. Renewal is free for Long Term Care Aides.
